Where does inspiration come from?

Welcome to “Behind the Canvas”

Hello, I’m Katerina Husmann, and I’m thrilled to begin this journey of sharing my artistic process with you. Painting is not just my passion—it’s the air I breathe. Without it, I feel incomplete. Every brushstroke carries my emotions, my experiences, and my dreams. One of those dreams is to one day open my own gallery, a space where my art can live and inspire others.

For my first post, I want to introduce my latest painting: “Inspiration.”

This painting symbolizes the creative energy that surrounds me as an artist in moments of inspiration. The female figure, surrounded by vibrant butterflies and intricate patterns, represents the artistic flow in which ideas, emotions, and images are born. Butterflies are a symbol of change, lightness, and freedom of thought, as if they materialize imagination, transforming it into art.

For me, as an artist, inspiration is a continuous dialogue with the world and people. Often, it comes from my clients—their admiration and emotions toward my work. This painting reflects that creative exchange, where inspiration turns into painting, and painting, in turn, sparks new inspirations.

I look forward to sharing more stories, insights, and behind-the-scenes moments of my art with you. Stay tuned!
